Creating a Micro Series for the Web: Part 4 – Post-Production

Avatar Cinema Summit | November 18, 2017

Ready for Post

Zach and Chris made post easier on themselves by structuring the entire series in such a way that there was minimal editing.

Flat Camera Profile & Color Grading

Color grading was probably the most time consuming part of the post process on I'm Sorry, but they wanted the flexibility in post to adjust the image so that every episode matched and looked like it came from the same world.

Sound Design

Again, because these episodes were so short, Zach and Chris wanted the sound design to be as natural as possible so as to not distract from the main purpose of each episode.

Titling

Zach and Chris had a very cool approach to creating the title for the series - using real handmade calligraphy.

Recap

Zach and Chris give a quick recap.
